He received his Electrical Engineer and Ph.D. degree in electronics from Kaunas Technical University (KTU), Kaunas, Lithuania, in 1971 and 1984. His studies concentrated on digital signal processing and communication networks.
He worked at Vilnius Scientific Research Institute in 1974 developing equipment for ASIC test. In 1987, he became a founder and a director of the Lithuanian Radio Electronics and Ecology Research Institute dealing with advanced technologies in areas of electronics and environmental protection, utilizing advanced biological sensors technology. From 1993 until 1996, he was with Physical Optics Corporation in Torrance California, where he successfully completed several Government SBIR contracts (3 Phase I and 2 Phase II projects). From 1996 until 2002, he served as Vice President of Engineering at Multilink Technology Corporation, Somerset, New Jersey, with the responsibility for the development of standard and custom products for terrestrial and submarine communications. Dr. Katzman holds more than 50 U.S. and international patents.
Dr. Katzman started ADSANTEC in 2002 where he has focused his efforts on designing IC solutions for ultra-high speed backplane applications, based on a patent pending multi-level interconnect technique.
